1. This meeting of the City Council of the City of Cedar Hills, having been posted throughout the City and the press notified, was called to order at 6:15 by Mayor McGee.
2. Open Meeting Law Training (6:16 p.m.)
See handouts. Kim Holindrake presented training on the Open and Public Meetings Act.
3. Noticed agenda items for this Regular Council Meeting (6:44 p.m.)
Board and Committee Reports
• C. Wright: The Utah League of Cities and Towns may try to remove the State’s portion of sales tax and reduce the cities’ portions by a third.
• C. Richardson: Wal-Mart presented a preliminary plan at the Planning Commission meeting and has been in touch with Kim Holindrake and David Bunker. Konrad Hildebrandt will contact Shell MacPherson to see if they can present before February 22.
• C. Perry: The Lone Peak Public Safety District met. There will be emergency training Friday, February 9. UTOPIA is moving forward. The Youth City Council met and is planning a leadership conference and the Easter Egg Hunt. They are also putting together a website.
C. Perry was unable to attend the boundary meeting with Pleasant Grove City.
• C. Bowman: Met with Ciara Decker to discuss the Family Festival. Ciara is looking into the cost of having the dinner catered. C. Richardson would like to see a preliminary budget for the Family Festival.
• C. Maxwell: Met with Brad Orton, Golf Course Advisory Committee Chair, to discuss the golf course reconfiguration.
